As a North Carolina native who grew up alongside immigrant communities, Brooke developed a strong passion for advocacy—especially for people in underserved areas. This passion inspired her to pursue a law degree and dedicate her career to making a meaningful impact on others.
From early on, Brooke knew that fighting for positive change and protecting the rights of others would be central to her career. Therefore, after earning a master’s in human rights, she later led a project at the Civil Human Rights Clinic at G.W. Law with Omna Tigray, addressing violations in the Tigray-Ethiopia conflict, helping amplify the voices of those affected and advocating for their rights before international bodies.
Then, at the Herischi Human Rights Law Center, Brooke deepened her understanding of the legal and social challenges immigrants face. She worked primarily with Iranian and Kurdish immigrant communities, helping seek justice for victims of the Iranian regime by using the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act to hold the government accountable for human rights violations. This experience strengthened her ability to navigate complex legal systems and advocate for clients.
Brooke enjoys skiing, hiking, and enjoying any outdoor adventure in the mountains with her husband and their dog outside of work. She also has a creative side and started exploring the world of interior design.
